Khatron Ke Khiladi or Fear Factor was the reality show which had helped the channel Colors TV to establish in the mainstream channels within a few days. Khatron Ke Khiladi 1 set new records on Indian television when Akshay Kumar was supposed to have been paid 1.5 crores per episode of Khatron Ke Khiladi. The show was was launched on the same day when Colors TV channel was launched and the show and the channel became an instant hit with Akshay Kumar making thirteen beauties to overcome their worst fears in every episode. After that the channel became even more popular with reality shows like Bigg Boss 2 and daily soaps like Balika Vadhu.
Now Colors TV and Endemol (producers of Khatron Ke Khiladi 1) have approached Akshay Kumar to host the second season of Khatron Ke Khiladi. If reports are to be believed, they have also agreed to Akshay Kumar's price which he quoted at 2.5 crore for each episode. The golden boy of Bollywood is going through a great phase in his career with a series of hits in the last two years and has got many big budget movies in the pipeline too. Akshay Kumar has once again proved that he is not only the highest paid actor in Bollywood right now but he is also "King" of the small screen in terms of money making.
Unlike the first season which was shot exclusively in South Africa with thirteen female celebrities, Khatron Ke Khiladi 2 will be shot at a new location and this season might see both male and female celebrities trying to overcome fear as a factor. I am eagerly waiting for the second season as I have been a die-hard fan of the first season.
